Abbi Stars for Nissan Formula E Team in Valencia Pre-Season Women's Test

Abbi Pulling completed an impressive pre-season programme for the Nissan Formula E Team in Valencia's All Women's Test.

Following her time-topping performance in the inaugural All Women's Test in 2024, Abbi returned to the same event with Nissan Formula E Team - this time round as their Rookie & Simulator Driver.

Abbi executed a variety of different programs, ranging from race runs to performance laps and pit stop training, benefitting her progress and the team, as it continues to build towards the opener in São Paulo.

Throughout her running, Abbi was comfortably at the top of the timesheets - setting the 2nd fastest time in the morning session with a 1:23.866s.

As testing resumed in the afternoon, Abbi continued with her programme and was the first driver to set a lap time inside the 1m22s barrier - putting herself at the top of the time sheets until the closing stages of the day.

Abbi completed 89 laps and 300.464km of testing mileage across the Women's Test - setting the 2nd fastest time of the day with a laptime of 1:22.831s.

Tommaso Volpe, managing director and team principal, Nissan Formula E Team:

"It was a very productive day, and we're pleased with Abbi's performance and all the work she put in. It was her third outing in the car and she's making a lot of progress each time, which is great to see. We focused on multiple aspects today, including elements for the team such as Pit Boost practice as well as for Abbi's technique and performance.
She provided good feedback to our engineers, managed to set the second fastest time of the day and got much more confident with the car, so it was a very positive and useful experience overall.
This is a difficult track when it comes to putting all the sectors together, but her times were strong throughout and she improved significantly in multiple aspects in just a few hours, which is definitely a great sign for the future."

Abbi Pulling:

"I'm really pleased with the work I did today, and to set the second-quickest time in both sessions is a strong result. One of my personal targets was to break into the 1:22s, regardless of what everyone else would do, and I'm delighted that we managed to do that! I also wanted to improve my technique during race simulation in terms of energy management, which I definitely achieved.
It's a physically demanding track, but we made good progress on our previous work in terms of long runs and qualifying laps, in addition to the Pit Boost training, which will be useful for the team moving forward. I'm feeling more comfortable in the car every time I drive it and I'm enjoying it a lot - these cars are incredibly complex but a lot of fun to drive.
A big thanks to the all the team for today, I had a great time and I'm looking forward to the next opportunity."

Abbi will continue to be working with Nissan in her Simulator role, as the FIA Formula E Championship heads into the start of the 2025/2026 Championship in 5 weeks time.
