Abbi Pulling secured strong fourth-place finish in Race 2 in the Hungaroring, before two separate incidents brought an unlucky end to her other races.

Round 3 of the GB3 Championship headed to the Hungaroring for another important weekend in Abbi Pulling's 2026 campaign with Rodin Motorsport.

The Rodin Motorsport driver hit the ground running in testing, finishing P3 in the opening session before going on to set P6 in Test Session 3. After a disrupted second test session, Abbi continued to show competitive pace in Free Practice, finishing P4 in FP2.

The pace continued into qualifying, with Abbi securing P7 in Q1 before producing one of her strongest performances of the weekend in Q2, setting the fourth-fastest time to put herself on the second row for Race 2.

Race 1 saw Abbi start from P7 and make a difficult opening lap, dropping back to P9. She immediately set about recovering the lost ground, fighting her way back towards her original starting position.
However, just as she had recovered to P7, Abbi was caught out by the driver ahead moving under brakiing, causing a collision which ended her race prematurely and denied her a solid race recovery result.

Race 2 provided an opportunity to fight back, with Abbi lining up from P4 on the grid.
Another difficult launch saw her drop back, with contact from another driver compounding the start - causing some damage to the car and left her down in P6.
Despite the setback, Abbi remained composed and fought her way back through the field, recovering to P4 by the chequered flag after a late-race charge towards the podium places.

Race 3 saw Abbi start from P9 following the reverse-grid from the combined qualifyingresult.
She held her position down to Turn 1, moving to the outside - but was the unfortunate casualty of another driver's incident, which saw her collected by another car, breaking her suspension and bringing another frustrating early end to her race.

Despite a luckless weekend, Abbi battled back from a challenging start to the weekend to have podium running pace shown across the weekend.

"Budapest was a challenging weekend, almost getting a podium in Race 2 despite contact at the start was positive, but two DNF's isn't what I was hoping for but it's a part of racing.
‍
Race 1 was a bit of me with the bad start, a bit of the driver moving under braking - it was unfortunate. I was happy with the pace I showed in Race 2, closing in on the podium at the end, I just needed a few more laps. Then Race 3 sadly was over really before it began, I got collected when minding my own business on the outside and sadly that was all she wrote!

Frustrating that is was not the weekend we were capable of, but I am keeping my chin up and ready for some Red Bull Ring redemption next weekend!

There is no rest for Abbi, as the next round of the GB3 Championship takes place at the Red Bull Ring in Austria in just one-weeks time, in the second of the double header races on the 11-12 July.
