Abbi Finishes GB3 Championship Campaign Strong at Monza

Abbi Pulling completed the 2025 GB3 Championship with her highest scoring round of the season to secure a Top-10 overall in the standings.

The final round of the 2025 GB3 Championship headed to the iconic Monza circuit, otherwise known as ‘The Temple of Speed’ in motorsport.

Thursday testing saw Rodin Cars Ambassador Abbi Pulling build herself into the weekend across the two sessions – placing herself in the Top-10 in the morning session.
She carried on her improvement through Friday’s’ Official Tests, regularly featuring in the Top-10 throughout the sessions and putting herself in a solid position heading into Qualifying on Saturday.

With the slipstream being so powerful at Monza, track position and timing of a ‘tow’ proved critical.

Qualifying 1 on Saturday morning was dry but cool as Abbi hit the track. With 4-minutes to go, a Red Flag came out for an incident, with Abbi currently sitting with the 9th fastest time. Frustratingly it was flown just as she was about to finish a lap that would have been good enough for a Top-6.
The session resumed and it was a frantic run to get tyres up to temperature for the final push laps. Abbi just crossed the line in time for one last flying lap – and she managed to hook up a good lap to set the 8th fastest time.
She ended up being one of the only drivers who managed to improve at the end of the session, setting a laptime that was just 0.12s from a Top-5 grid spot.

The second and final qualifying session of the season, began shortly after. With 5 minutes to go, Abbi sat P6 in the timesheets – improving her best time from the previous session by over a quarter-of-a-second.
As the session drew to a close, she was up on her previous time, until a yellow flag required her to abort her final lap. This meant others were able to improve on the last lap as the track continued to improve, while she frustratingly wasn’t able to complete hers.
Abbi ended up P9 in the timesheets at the end of the session - setting a 1:43.961s laptime, which was less than 0.15s from the Top-6.

Her position in Qualifying meant she would start Race 1 on Saturday afternoon from P8 and Race 2 on Sunday morning from P9.

Race 1 on Saturday afternoon saw Abbi make a great start up to P7, which was sadly short-lived due to multiple incidents causing a red flag restart.

On the restart, Abbi was forced to take the Turn 1 cut-through and dropped back to P14 on the grid. Unphased, she immediately got stuck into recovering her position. As she moved herself back into P13 by the end of the lap, then gained a further position – making a bold overtake around the outside of Turn 1.
A short Safety Car period was deployed, which Abbi made a great restart from – moving up to P11 down the main straight, before gaining a further position up to P10 heading into the ‘Roggia Chicane’.
This overtake did mean she had no DRS from the car infront, but she resisted the pressure to move herself back within 1-second of the car ahead.
On the final lap, she made a brilliant overtake around the outside the ‘Parabolica’, taking P9 on the final corner before the chequered flag to complete a strong recovery.

The second race of the weekend took place on a very cold Sunday morning. Abbi made a great start, making no mistakes in the tricky cool conditions - navigating the chaos and move herself into P6, just before the Safety Car was deployed.
With 9 laps to go, racing resumed, with Abbi making a clean restart and holding position – before another Safety Car period just one lap later.
This second restart saw Abbi under huge pressure from behind, ultimately dropping to P7 – before contact ahead at the end of the lap elevated her back into P5 with 5 laps to go.
Abbi applied huge pressure to the car ahead, who was weaving aggressively to break the tow and keep her behind.
She would ultimately just miss out by 0.3s at the finish – taking a strong P5 and good haul of points into the third and final race of the weekend, and the championship as a whole.

The season finale saw Abbi starting from P3 – following penalties applied after Race 2. She made a great launch to move onto the gearbox of the front-two cars, just with nowhere to go to make any further progress.
After being forced to take the cut-through at Turn 1, Abbi dropped to P4 behind RODIN Motorsport teammate Gianmarco Pradel.
At the start of Lap 3, Abbi was defenceless against a DRS overtaken into Turn 1 – but she latched onto the back of her rival to retake P4 just one lap later.
Abbi was then under huge pressure from a trio of cars behind, all in DRS as she pushed incredibly hard to try and bring down the 2.5s gap to her teammate infront.
With 5 laps to go, her excellent pace enough to bring herself back into the 1-second range of the car infront, gaining the benefit of DRS to help solidify her position, as well as applying the pressure on the fight for the podium ahead.
She joined the DRS train for P1 with 4 laps to go, balancing attack and defence brilliantly – before the Top 4 managed to break away into the final 2 laps.

Abbi crossed the line to round out the GB3 Season in P4 - just 0.4s off another podium finish and only 1.1s off the race win, after a delivering a very strong drive under massive pressure.

Abbi Pulling:

"Overall it was a very good way to end the year - with my best weekend yet in GB3 in terms of points.
I was happy with my driving and how I raced throughout the weekend.

Qualifying 2 was a bit unfortunate that I got a yellow on my last lap whilst in P6 - which meant I couldn't improve, whilst others did - so I started further back than I felt I should've.

In Race 1, I had a great start to P7, but the red flag meant we had to do a full re-grid. The second start wasn't as good, I got baulked at Turn 1 and had to go through the cut-through. This meant I fell to P14, but in the few laps we had - I managed to make up five positions to recover to P9, which I was very satisfied with, especially pulling off a number of high risk moves around the outside.

Race 2 was a bit more straight forward. I kept it clean and on track, whilst a lot of people around me went a bit crazy! So I finished a strong P5.

The final race, I finished P4 which I was a bit disappointed with.
I had a great launch but didn't make the best decision into Turn 1, dropping back - but I was able to come back through the P4 and close in a 2.5 second gap to the cars in front and end up in the DRS fight for the podium and win in the closing stages!

But it was really positive to finish the year in a good place, securing a Top-10 in the championship. This became my goal at the mid-way point of the season after a few issues out of my control hampered 2 rounds of the season.
I had quite deficit of points to make up, but I was really happy with how I managed to achieve that - as well as the pace I showed and developed over the season.

A huge thank you to RODIN Cars for all the support this season, RODIN Motorsport for all their hard work and great car, as well as F1 Academy and all my partners and fans for their continued belief in me!”

Abbi finished the GB3 Season at Monza, with her highest point scoring round of the weekend – with two Top-5 finishes and a brilliant comeback drive in the first race on Saturday. This helped her secure a Top-10 finish in the overall 2025 GB3 Championship Standings.

Alongside this, Abbi helped her team RODIN Motorsport to secure the 2025 GB3 Team’s Championship – for the second season in a row!

With the 2025 season now at a close, preparation now turns to 2026. Abbi’s plans for the new season will be announced in due course…
