The first on-track session behind the wheel for Abbi in 2026 took place the Miami International Autodrome for the Nissan Formula E Team, as she continues her development in her role as their Rookie and Simulator Driver.
Driving the #23 of Norman Nato, Abbi and fellow Nissan Rookie Driver Gabrielle Mini began a dedicated run-plan in preparation for the team to maximise their learnings for the Miami E-Prix for their race drivers.
Throughout the session, Abbi completed multiple 300kw race-runs alongside a Pit-Boost procedure. She worked through Nissan’s programme concentrating on race efficiency, alongside acclimatising herself further with the Nissan e-4ORCE 05 car and the new Miami circuit.
Abbi continued to improve throughout the session, impressing the team with her race run efficiency and performance on track, setting the 7th fastest time in the process of the 300kw classification– despite a half spin at Turn 11 which she recovered well from.
The final minutes saw Abbi head out for some 350kw Qualifying performance runs, where sadly she was unable to maximise her first push-lap due to the flat spotted tyre vibrations and a small mistake - before traffic on her final lap required her to abort her last run of the session.
Despite not being able to show what she could do in Qualifying trim – Abbi successfully completed everything the team requested and provided Nissan will plenty of useful data and preparation for the race weekend ahead.
Abbi Pulling - Nissan Formula E Team Rookie and Simulator Driver:
"It's my first time being trackside with the team for a while and I was really happy to be back. We prepared well, Norman gave me some useful advice and I learned a lot from talking with him. The session started well and we had strong pace, all while getting through our program. I got some traffic in the 350kW mode, which affected my position on the timesheet, but the running was useful for the team and that's the most important part. It was tough with the cool conditions, but I felt comfortable in the car and I'm confident this experience will help me even more for my role in the simulator. Looking forward to the next time to continue my development!"
Abbi will continue her development and Simulator work with Nissan, as the FIA Formula E season continues.
Alongside her continuous preparation for her 2026 GB3 Championship campaign, where she will be back-on-track for Pre-Season testing very soon.
