Nissan made their ABB FIA Formula E World Championship debut in Season 5 (2018/19) becoming the first and only Japanese manufacturer to enter the series.

Abbi joined the Nissan Formula E Team in June 2025, signing with the iconic marque as their Rookie and Simulator Driver on a multi-year agreement - following an impressive debut with the team, where she topped the All-Women's Test at Jarama.

Her role sees her become an important member of the team both on and off-track, taking part in Rookie Tests, simulator work and event preparation, as well as in the initial set-up of the squad’s new state-of-the-art, bespoke Dynisma simulator ahead of Season 12.
